Greek theatre
The most important and best preserved ancient monument of Taormina is the theater.
It was built in a wonderful vantage point, from which you can admire the mass of Etna and the Ionian Sea.
The building was rebuilt in Roman times and more precisely in the 2nd century AD.
For years now, the theater of Taormina is the splendid setting of cultural events and international awards
